Newbie

Hi, my 5 year old daughter started Karate in January and after a couple of weeks started to lose interest and weep at training sessions. To help her out I decided to give it a go. I have never done anything that like this and have to say am loving it. It is like I have done it before in a previous life and I feel totally at home with it. I am grading for my red belt in September and know the Heian Shodan kata required. I am taking private lessons with Sensei Matt Price and Sensei Nick Heald, who are both world champions and are fantastic teachers. I can't wait to see how far I can go, hopefully black belt sooner rather than later.

Getting Closer

The dojo's coming along great.  We got the mirrors up Thursday and finished the second coat of paint on the walls on Friday.  On Friday we also visited the county offices in Temecula and got the dba from, and we ordered the banners/signs from Milner Signs.  The current plan is to paint the trim tomorrow, carpets will be cleaned on Monday, and then we'll put the mats in as soon as they're delivered.  We'll do the foyer tiling next weekend, and if the tiling goes smoothly and dries quickly, we'll hold our first classes on Monday, August 10th.  Keep checking back for status updates.  We're planning several Grand Opening promotions with big discounts on tuition.  Feel free to call for details (951-219-1942).
